INTERVIEWING THE ANIMALS OF THE RAINFOREST

Once we have explored the different layers of the rainforest, we can then learn about the different animals that live there. Once children have learnt about each animal, they can bring the animals to life to demonstrate their learning.

SPACE TOPIC LESSON 5 - EXPLAINING GEOCENTRIC VS HELIOCENTRIC THEORIES

SPACE TOPIC LESSON 2 - INTERACTIVE SOLAR SYSTEM

Here is idea number 2 linked to the topic of Space. In this video, learners create their own interactive guide to the Solar System. Compared to idea number 3, this is an easier project for learners to share their knowledge and understanding of different planets. If you feel this needs to be more challenging, idea 3 will push your learners with their ICT skills.

Interviewing Storybook characters

In this video, we look at another way to explore a character's feelings/motives/actions by interviewing them through ChatterPix Kids. This idea can easily be adapted to any other story and provides an accessible way for pupils to show empathy and understanding to characters.

When I'm 100 years old...

Here is a quick little idea I did with Year 2 last week linked to their science topic on the human life cycle. Using a fun ageing app, they turned themselves old before recording some ideas of what they think life will be like when they are 100.

Chatterpix Kids is such a versatile app and gives every child no matter what their ability with writing the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding.
