Idea 1 - Introduction

We've been discussing ways to improve the supporters content. The idea behind MrPICT.com isn't to create another scheme of work website. It is to inspire teachers and help build their knowledge and understanding using technology creatively across the curriculum. However after some feedback, we are looking at creating topic pages with ideas linked to a particular topic. So this is the first topic, which is what I am doing with my Year 4 at the minute - Stone Age.

Idea 2 - Creating 360 Stone AGe Timelines

 Here is the first idea in a series linked to Stone Age. Using Keynote, pupils can create their own Stone Age Timeline. Using the tools in Keynote, they can animate and make their timelines interactive and also export it so it can be posted as a 360 degree video to Facebook and Youtube.

​STONE AGE IDEA 3 - EVOLUTION OF MAN REPORTS

Here is the next idea linked to the Stone Age Topic which looks at interviewing the different stages of man from the Australopithecus to Homo Sapiens. Once interviews have been created, the pupils can bring it all together using the Greenscreen tool in iMovie.  ​

Stone Age Idea 4 - Exploring Skara Brae

In this video, we explore a couple of ways to virtually explore the Stone Age historical site of Skara Brae. Obviously, if you're able to visit in real life, then I highly recommend you do it. If you are unable to experience it first hand, the ideas in this video may help your pupils learn about this historical site.

STONE AGE TOPIC IDEA 5 - SELL A NEOLITHIC HOUSE

In the next video of this series linked to Stone Age, we look at exploring the outside and inside of a Neolithic house. Pupils then create a persuasive advert trying to sell this Stone Age property. ​

STONE AGE IDEA 6 - EXPLORING AND RECREATING STONEHENGE

If you are looking at Stonehenge as part of your Stone Age topic, this video shares ways in which to learn about how Stonehenge was built, speculating its purpose but also allowing pupils to recreate their own version using Minecraft.

STONE AGE TOPIC IDEA 7 - INVESTIGATING A BRONZE AGE MAN'S SKELETON

Moving from Stone Age to Bronze Age. In this lesson, pupils investigate a picture of the Amesbury Archer, a Bronze Age man discovered on an archeological dig, making predictions about what life was like. They then learn about the different objects buried with the body to know more about life in the Bronze Age.
